Privacy Policy

We collect only what is needed to prepare and deliver a report. This falls into three groups.

• Business information. The business name, its address as shown on Google Maps, and the link to its Google Business Profile.
• Performance numbers. Views on Google Search and Google Maps, calls, direction requests, website clicks, and the rating and review count for the period a report covers. These are entered by us from the Business Profile with the owner's permission.
• Contact details. The email address a report is sent to and any messages you send us.

The public website does not ask visitors for any information and does not use analytics or advertising trackers.

We use the information above to:

• prepare the report for a business and send it to the address you gave us;
• answer questions about a report or about the service;
• keep the service secure and working properly.

We do not sell information, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than the ones listed here.

Reports are delivered by email, so the email address and the content of the report pass through the email provider we use to send mail. That provider processes the message only to deliver it.

We do not share information with anyone else unless the law requires it or you ask us to.

The numbers in a report come from the Performance section of a Google Business Profile and are used with the permission of the profile owner. Google, Google Maps, Gmail and the Google logo are trademarks of Google LLC. This service is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.

Google's handling of the underlying profile data is described in Google's Privacy Policy.

The public website sets one cookie that remembers your language choice. The private admin area, used only by us to send reports, sets one session cookie so the person sending reports stays signed in. Neither contains personal information; the session cookie expires after one week.

We keep the business information and the email address for as long as reports are being sent to that business, so that the next report can be prepared. Copies of sent emails remain in our email provider's sent folder in line with that provider's retention settings.

When you ask us to stop sending reports, we delete the business information and the email address within 30 days.

You can at any time:

• stop receiving reports by replying to any report email or by writing to us;
• ask what information we hold about a business and receive a copy;
• ask us to correct or delete that information.

Write to [email protected] and we will respond within two working days.

The admin area is protected by a password and reachable only over an encrypted connection in production. Report emails are sent over an encrypted connection to the email provider. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of information we hold small so that the impact of any incident is small too.

The service is for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. For changes that affect how reports are sent, we will also mention it in the next report email.
